IT DOESN’T HAPPEN OVERNIGHT!
SO many people give up because they don’t see results straight away. This doesn’t mean that it’s not working! IT TAKES TIME!
Here are some of my tips to help you get fit this summer!
1. Eat Well
Proper nutrition and effective training go hand-in-hand. Eating right is an essential component of all athletic activities. Eating well is the best way to be sure you get the most from your training and performance.
2. Exercise Daily
Aim to train two to five times a week. Each session should last between 20 minutes to an hour. Remember it is the quality (not the quantity) of the time you spend training that leads to progression. Push your self harder on days when you feel you have more strength, and go easier when you feel less energetic. It is far easier to make exercise a habit if it is a daily one. it is much easier to turn one day off into three days off.
3. Do a mixture of exercises
Make sure that your training regime covers all the necessary elements. Your weekly exercise programme should include elements of cardiovascular (aerobics, running, brisk walking, stepping, skipping rope, rowing), resistance training (weights or own body exercises such as press ups) and, finally, flexibility (stretching). You should always warm up and cool down before each session.
4. Drink Water
Drink at least a 750ml bottle of water a day. If you have the water in front of you, you will drink it without even knowing.
5. Set goals
Keep track of your progress, and as you reach these goals, you’ll feel good about what you’ve accomplished.
